2010-07-16 : Application Virtualization Explorer 2.1.0 has been released

This release marks the first bigger update to Application Virtualization Explorer product. New features include more increased support for virtual environment customization for applications published from the package as well as number of usability enhancements. Upgrading is recommended for all customers and trial evaluators.

2010-05-21 : Lib-V 1.3.1 has been released

This update fixes issues few issues in updating the package's contents. Upgrading is recommended to all Lib-V R/W edition customers.

2010-05-06 : Announcing Application Virtualization Explorer Professional 2.0

Available today, Application Virtualization Explorer Professional 2.0 introduces a new standard in easyness and intuitiveness of App-V package editing.

Designed as full GUI, full package, editor - including support for all App-V package files - AVE Professional will streamline the work and processes of all App-V administrators and virtual application packagers. AVE will support viewing, editing and saving of all past and present App-V package formats and includes capability to examine App-V Client cached settings file (PKG file) as a industry-first.

2010-03-22 : Announcing full App-V 4.6 support in SFT Encoder 2.0

Together with upgraded Lib-V SFT engine, Gridmetric is proud to present first ever major version upgrade to its premiere App-V package encoding and processing product, SFT Encoder. This version adds full and unconditional support for processing packages from and to latest version of Microsoft App-V 4.6. SFT Encoder is also now fully supported in both 32-bit and 64-bit environments.

In addition to 4.6 format support, SFT Encoder 2.0 adds several new processing directives for template based processing, further strenghting the goal of becoming the most capable encoding tool for ISVs and packagers interested in generating custom-made App-V packages. New version of SFT Encoder also fixes number of bugs, generating industry's most compliant App-V packages second only to Microsoft Sequencer!

Existing customers with active support and maintenance period can download release 2.0 from the Customer Portal. Old and new evaluators can download new trial version from the website, now with less restrictive set of limitations than before.

2010-03-22 : Announcing full App-V 4.6 support in Lib-V 1.3

Gridmetric is proud to announce full support for App-V 4.6 SFT files with Lib-V release 1.3.0, together with full 64-bit environment support.

This release also fixes number of issues in virtual registry (VREG) and virtual filesystem (VFS) handling as well as further increasing compliance with all revisions of SFT fileformat, making the latest Lib-V most complete and conforming SFT decoding/encoding engine commercially available.

Upgrading to 1.3.0 is strongly recommended for all existing customers.
